We are looking for a skilled video editor to add to our creative team. You must have a passion for beautiful storytelling and the imagination to think outside the box. We currently have several long-form documentary series and other masterclass-style courses in the pipeline. As with any small business, you may be asked to wear different hats. Abilities in other creative areas, such as cam-op, graphics, audio, photography, etc., are a plus for this position. This position includes the possibility of on-set work as well.

Specific duties listed below may not be all-inclusive:

Meeting with the director and production team to determine production vision.

Creative editing is the priority. Working primarily in doc work, we need someone who can bring their creative inspiration to the projects we are working on, both in pre-production and post-production.

Ensure that projects meet technical delivery requirements for various platforms. (Web, BluRay, Theater DCP Files, etc.)

Maintain our post-production workflow and film management/backup/archival practices

Necessary knowledge and skills:

High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Demonstrate experience editing with solid storytelling skills, excellent time management, and organization.

Execute in a fluid creative environment.

Proficient in basic color correction, audio mixing, etc.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team

We are open to discussing hybrid work for specific projects or less experienced applicants for an assistant editor position.
